Since its founding in 2014, Leobit has grown from a small team of passionate engineers into a globally recognized and trusted full-cycle software development provider. Although the company was officially founded in November, we traditionally celebrate our anniversary in the summer.

So this year, summer 2025, marks a decade of hard work, resilience, and continuous growth that has shaped Leobit into what it is today. During this time, we helped turn ideas into products, startups become unicorns, and people grow into experts. Our journey is as much about human connection as it is about technology.

As we celebrate this chapter, let’s take a look back at our key achievements and the people who make it all possible.

From Startup to a Globally Recognized Software Development Company

Leobit’s story began in Lviv, Ukraine, when Oleksa Stelmakh teamed up with several passionate and talented engineers to build high-quality .NET-powered solutions. This partnership has further served as a strong foundation for the future company.

I’m proud that Leobit is a Ukrainian company that brings together exceptional engineers driven by strong values and true dedication. I’m proud that we continue operating and even growing in Ukraine, supporting our country and its defenders with over $600,000 donated to the Armed Forces.

We build long-term relationships with clients across five continents, grounded in transparency, trust, and a belief that openness and true dedication can make a significant impact on the success of our clients, which we treat as our ultimate goal. We’ve helped our clients excel technologically, including the successful launch of three unicorns.

And what makes me especially proud — over a third of our team started their careers at Leobit without prior IT experience. We’ve grown to almost 200 engineers — we’re not just building software, we’re growing people.

Oleksa Stelmakh

Founder & CEO of Leobit

With a commitment to quality and reliability, Leobit quickly earned the trust of its first clients and laid the basis for what would become long-term, strategic partnerships. Some of Leobit’s early clients are still collaborating with us.

Between 2016 and 2019, Leobit expanded our tech expertise to include cloud computing and cross-platform development. During this period, we moved to a brand new office in Lviv, Ukraine, and opened a representative office in Austin, Texas. With a strong team of over 100 engineers, Leobit successfully hit a new milestone of over 100 projects delivered. In 2019, we achieved Microsoft Partner status and launched the Leobit blog to share insights and our industry expertise.

The years 2020 to 2022 tested Leobit’s resilience like never before. Amid the global COVID-19 pandemic and the challenges brought by russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, our company demonstrated remarkable agility and stability, and maintained 100% service continuity. With a strong focus on remote infrastructure and employee safety, Leobit continued to grow and evolve.

At the beginning of 2022, we launched the full-fledged Leobit Design Studio on the basis of our design department to offer end-to-end UX/UI design services. During this time, the company also achieved ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certifications and became a Microsoft Gold Partner.

In 2023, Leobit opened new representative offices in Tallinn (Estonia) and Kraków (Poland) to strengthen our international presence and make collaboration with European customers easier. And this year, we’ve also opened a new representative office in London, UK.

To date, Leobit has delivered over 150 projects and achieved new milestones regarding its CSAT and NPS scores. For the 2024-2025 period, the average NPS stands at 9.6, with a CSAT score of 95%.

Leobit’s Mission, Vision, And Core Values

Everything we do, from our services to our goals and daily work, is guided by this mission and rooted in the values we live by.

Microsoft Partnership

Leobit’s partnership with Microsoft started in 2019, when our company achieved Microsoft Gold Certified Partner status for Application Development. By gaining this status, Leobit confirmed our practical experience in the development and deployment of apps and services based on the Microsoft tech stack and received the Application Development Certification.

As Microsoft evolved its partner ecosystem, introducing the Microsoft Cloud Partner Program, Leobit successfully adapted to the new requirements. In 2023, after passing Microsoft’s rigorous technical assessment, Leobit received the Microsoft Solutions Partner designation for Digital & App Innovation (Azure).

In 2024, Leobit reaffirmed its position by earning the Microsoft Solutions Partner status under the AI Cloud Partner Program, the latest iteration of Microsoft’s partner program. This updated program incorporates AI expertise as a key area of evaluation and requires partners to achieve a defined Partner Capability Score (PCS) across all performance metrics.

Becoming a Microsoft-certified partner was our strategic decision to align with a technology leader and better serve our clients’ digital transformation needs.

Leobit's major awards

These awards recognize our team’s passion, our clients’ trust, and our commitment to developing technology that makes a meaningful difference. In 2025, Leobit’s CEO, Oleksa Stelmakh, was appointed Chair of the Technology & Sustainability Judging Committee at the prestigious Stevie® Awards, which proves Leobit’s growing influence in shaping a more responsible and innovative tech industry.

Active Focus on AI and Emerging Technologies

At Leobit, we believe that the future of software development lies in intelligent systems that can learn, adapt, and make life easier for both people and companies. That’s why we’ve made AI and emerging technologies a strategic priority across our internal operations and client-facing solutions.

In the past year alone, Leobit has significantly advanced its AI capabilities, both through innovation and thought leadership. We hosted a webinar on AI transformation, which showcased our work with corporate LLMs and real-world use cases in business automation. Our efforts were recognized by the Global Tech Award for AI Excellence, which validated Leobit’s growing role in next-generation software innovation.

Oleksa Stelmakh

We believe that AI will have a phenomenal impact on our lives, and it’s already making a significant boost in productivity across every area of the enterprise: from coding speed to internal processes in HR, recruiting, sales, marketing, and more. Companies that embrace AI transformation fast enough will be far ahead of the competition. Those who don’t will be left behind. That’s why we’ve made a strategic shift at Leobit—building AI R&D and SDO teams to drive this transformation for both our internal processes and our clients.

Oleksa Stelmakh also shared expert insights during a LinkedIn Live event, where he explored the practical implications of AI adoption and its business value across industries.

As part of our internal innovation efforts, we’ve developed a suite of AI-powered agents that optimize operations, enhance productivity, and improve customer and employee experience:

  • LeoSlack Leonard. A Slack-based chatbot that instantly answers employee questions on HR policies, PTO, benefits, and more.
  • Leora. Our AI-powered sales assistant supports lead qualification, client interactions, and follow-ups.
  • Leona. An AI solution for RFP analysis, scoring, and proposal generation, which enabled a 20% increase in leads from outsourcing platforms by helping us streamline the bidding process
  • Leo. A smart email assistant that crafts personalized sales responses based on context, intent, and historical data.

Leobit Design Studio: Crafting Seamless Digital Experiences

While Leobit has long maintained an in-house design team, the company took a major step forward in January 2022 with the official launch of Leobit Design Studio. Built on a foundation of mature UI/UX expertise, we launched the studio to deliver engaging, user-centered digital experiences tailored to the needs of modern businesses.

Leobit Design Studio offers a comprehensive suite of design services, including comprehensive analysis and user experience research, professional UX consulting and audit, UI/UX design, usability testing, and more. The team collaborates closely with clients to ensure every product is visually appealing and also intuitive, functional, and aligned with business goals.

Our work in the Design Studio quickly earned industry recognition. In August 2022, SuperbCompanies, a trusted source for evaluating IT and design firms globally, ranked Leobit Design Studio, the #1 UI/UX Design Agency.

Corporate Social Responsibility: Giving Back with Purpose

At Leobit, we believe that true success extends beyond business outcomes. Since our founding, we’ve been building a corporate culture grounded in responsibility and compassion and actively invested in initiatives that support public health, education, environmental sustainability, and humanitarian relief.

In 2019, we launched an interactive walking app to promote healthy lifestyles in our local community. Since then, we’ve developed a sustainable CSR program that channels resources and efforts into initiatives that make a meaningful difference.

Here are Leobit’s key charitable initiatives.

Healthcare support

Leobit actively supports healthcare-related causes in Ukraine, especially since the start of the full-scale invasion.

  • We donated 100,000 UAH ($2,472) to Ukraine’s leading pediatric hospital in Kyiv, deliberately targeted by a russian missile on July 8, 2024. Our goal is to support the hospital’s recovery so it can continue saving children’s lives.
  • We allocated 52,003 UAH ($1,263) to the MriyaDia initiative, which provides mental and physical rehabilitation, skills training, and career guidance to Ukrainian defenders returning from war.
  • Since 2022, we’ve consistently funded the purchase of medical equipment and medications for wounded soldiers treated at Municipal Clinical Hospital No. 8 in Dnipro. Each month, we respond to specific requests for pain relief medications and post-operative treatments.
  • Leobit helped fund the creation of the UNBROKEN Mental Health Center for Children and Teenagers affected by war trauma, in collaboration with the Lviv IT Cluster.
  • We also supported the Lviv Geriatric Center and VBRANI, a social enterprise that empowers elderly women to craft beautiful hand-knitted products.

Child and youth welfare

We’ve been constantly supporting children from Dobre Sertse orphanage in Novyi Mylyatyn village. What began with the delivery of bicycles, scooters, and skateboards to encourage an active lifestyle soon evolved into a long-term support initiative. Since 2023, we’ve been actively organizing both educational and recreational activities for the children, including several field trips and excursions to Lviv Oceanarium, Science Museum, and Bear Sanctuary Domazhyr. In addition, we’ve equipped the orphanage with clothing and laptops, providing children with the tools to learn and grow in a digital world.

Anna Kolisnyk

Our goal isn’t just to send sweets or toys once a year around St. Nicholas Day. We want to open new opportunities for these children, expand their worldview, and show them the possibilities life holds.

Supporting education

Believing that education shapes the future of the tech industry, Leobit actively invests in academic collaboration and volunteer-based teaching initiatives. In 2022, we established a machine learning lab at Lviv Polytechnic National University for students of the Institute of Computer Sciences and Information Technologies. A year later, in 2023, we supported the Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi National Ground Forces Academy with classroom and dormitory upgrades, including laptops, furniture, and other learning essentials.

Several Leobit engineers volunteered to create technical curricula and lectures for Ukrainian universities in 2022–2023, contributing to courses like “Fundamentals of Flutter”, “Modern JavaScript Standards”, “Web Development Essentials”, “Introduction to Site-Building Approaches”, and “Client-side JavaScript Programming”.

Standing with Ukraine

Since the onset of russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022, Leobit has taken a strong stand in support of Ukraine. Through donations, fundraising efforts, and direct aid, we have contributed a total of ₴22,012,109 ($605,929) to charitable and defense-related initiatives.

Culture of Constant Learning

At Leobit, we’ve built a culture where learning never stops. We offer a variety of internal and external educational opportunities, from professional certifications and upskilling programs to tailored tech workshops that align with current industry demands.

Among such initiatives are:

  • Internship program. Our internship program provides a structured path for young professionals to launch their careers. Guided by experienced mentors, interns receive hands-on experience and often grow into full-time roles within our team.
  • Internal knowledge sharing. We regularly host internal workshops where our engineers present lessons learned, new tools, or best practices to foster a collaborative and informed development culture.
  • Technical lectures for everyone. In 2024, we introduced a unique lecture series designed to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical teams. Our engineers explained complex software development concepts in clear, simple terms to make tech accessible across the organization and reinforce cross-functional collaboration.

This commitment to learning is the mindset that defines how we work, grow, and deliver value to our clients at our company. Recently, we’ve also launched a new type of content on our website — Leobit’s Proof of Concepts. This section showcases experimental tools and prototypes developed by our R&D team, which continuously explores innovative technologies.
