A WordPress-based platform that provides comprehensive online marketplace functionality powered by WooCommerce. The customer uses the platform to sell home Internet subscriptions, SIM-only Internet, and devices like routers. The system integrates with a payment system and has convenient functionality for managing users’ personal cabinets and subscriptions.

The customer is a Switzerland-based business that has acquired a company that specializes in providing home Internet services. Upon the acquisition, our client started managing the acquired company’s legacy online marketplace. However, after using it for a few years, the customer decided to modernize the platform.

The customer faced issues with managing a legacy e-commerce platform. First, they wanted to optimize it and update all the major plugins. However, the customer ended up deciding to redesign the solution completely.

We had a very limited time for completing the project. However, we had to run a thorough research of the customer’s platform requirements and business specifications before starting active development.
A comprehensive online marketplace
We leveraged the functionality of the WooCommerce plugin enhanced with custom configurations, to deliver a user-friendly online marketplace. The solution offers its users different categories of items, namely:
⬥ Home Internet subscriptions
⬥ Sim-only Internet subscriptions
⬥ Devices like routers.
Users can choose between different speed models and subscription plans. Users can create and log in to personal cabinets where they can buy and manage monthly subscriptions or make a single, long-term purchase by paying for the hardware and the activation fee. The platform is localized to multiple languages.
Payment system integration
To ensure fast, secure, and convenient payments, we integrated the solution with Stripe. The system supports different payment options, with credit cards being the primary ones. It also provides the users with invoices delivered immediately after the payment is completed.
Excellent UI/UX design tailored to the customer's needs
We used WordPress functionality to create a convenient app UI/UX design that aligns with the customer's branding requirements. The platform serves all the products and services, along with accessible account information to the users. There is also an opportunity to log in as the owner, allowing the company's employees to manage user subscriptions and orders.
