Customer
Our customer is a US-based fintech company that provides a platform for self-directed Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs). The client provides accessible and convenient possibilities for investing through retirement accounts with a strong focus on compliance. The platform has been operating for several years, and the customer constantly enhances its architecture and functionality to fit industry and business-specific needs.
Business Challenge
The customer has a large team that continuously optimizes their platform, modernizing its architecture, adding new features, and ensuring continuous compliance. They needed additional Golang expertise to ensure efficient modernization of the platform’s back end with full compliance with critical investor assessment standards.
Why Leobit
The customer was satisfied with Leobit’s ability to build flexible and scalable microservices that ensure platform flexibility and stable performance under high loads. They were also impressed with our readiness to jump into the project and take over complex back-end development tasks with minimal onboarding.
Project
in detail
The Leobit team had limited time to jump into the project and start working on complex back-end development tasks.
Our specialists had to take ownership of some critical microservices and establish efficient collaboration with the customer’s teams in the short term. It took us less than a month to catch up with the project and start working on back-end development tasks and optimizing the system’s architecture.
Our specialists optimized some critical microservices to enhance system performance and ensure compliance. We also used Golang to build an entire microservice responsible for the solution’s marketplace functionality from scratch.
Our team continuously supports the customer by completing technical tasks aimed at making the solution more scalable and resilient under high data loads. We also cover some full-stack development tasks to ensure excellent alignment between the solution’s back end and front end. Currently, we are preparing the system for significant architectural shifts that would allow the platform to be fully enterprise-ready.
Convenient Selection of Investment Plans
The solution provides a convenient and accessible marketplace-like functionality, allowing its users to view and choose among the best investment options. In particular, users can invest their retirement funds into cryptocurrency, private funds, startups, and real estate. The Leobit team has developed a separate microservice to power this functionality and keep the marketplace efficient under high data loads.
Flexible and Scalable Microservice Architecture
We contributed to building a complex microservices architecture that ensures the solution’s flexibility, scalability, and excellent performance. To ensure better system resilience and fast request processing, our specialists introduced the asynchronous messaging approach. We also took a cloud-first approach to ensure excellent compatibility and scalability within the AWS cloud.
Compliance Enforcement
Our specialists also covered compliance tasks to ensure an investor assessment that fits industry standards. In particular, we ensured the solution’s integration with third-party vendors that run investor audits. This approach allows the client to ensure secure and reliable user accreditation and verification.
