Intermediate QA Engineer

As a Middle QA Engineer at Leobit company, you must be capable to analyze and validate requirements; able to communicate with customers and translate business requirements to technical requirements. Perform both Black-box and Grey-box testing of Web and Mobile applications with results validation on DB/API level (if necessary); troubleshoot and analyze found issues helping the development team to find the root cause. Have strong analytical skills and problem-solving attitude. Demonstrate high result orientation and responsibility for own work.

Requirements:

• Two years of experience in testing web and mobile applications (at least)
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks, particularly Scrum
• Understanding of software quality principles and the role of QA in cross-functional Agile teams
• Knowledge of fundamental test process phases
• Proficiency in testing types and techniques
• Understanding of different types of test documentation and their purposes
• Awareness of software quality characteristics
• Hands-on experience in preparing test scenarios and executing tests
• Strong skills in documenting and troubleshooting defects
• Experience with test case and project management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr, Azure DevOps).Proficiency in working with SQL Studio or other RDBMS systems
• Strong self-organization and time management skills
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a STEM-related field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics)
• English level: Upper-intermediate or higher

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and validate requirements (specifications, acceptance criteria, etc.)
• Identify and supplement missing or implicit requirements in specifications/stories
• Conduct requirement brainstorming sessions with the development team
• Create test documentation (test designs, test scenarios, test cases, UI checklists, etc.)
• Prepare test data
• Perform functional and non-functional testing of product increments
• Update baseline documentation following requirement changes
• Create bug reports and document deviations from expected results with screenshots and videos
• Validate and triage defects with project stakeholders
• Provide regular test status updates to stakeholders, ensuring clear cross-team and client communication
• Prepare test summary reports for each delivery chunk (sprint/release)
• Work with project and test management tools
• Resolve product (requirements/design) and process blockers for the development/QA team
• Collect and analyze defined quality metrics
