Senior System Administrator (part-time)

Leobit (leobit.com) is a full-cycle web and mobile application development provider for the technology companies and startups primarily located in the US, Canada, Australia, the UK, and the EU. Our technology focus covers .NET, Angular, React, iOS, Android, Ruby, PHP and a comprehensive range of other technologies from Microsoft, Web, and Mobile Stacks.

We are looking for a part-time Senior System Administrator to join our team.

Requirements:

Five years working experience with Windows Server 2019/2022 RDS farms and FSLogix (including at least one end-to-end upgrade to a 3.25.x branch)
Good knowledge of PowerShell scripting
Good knowledge of Active Directory & Group Policy
Experience with VHD/VHDX profile containers
Good knowledge of Performance troubleshooting (PerfMon, WPR/WPA)
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science (or similar technical field)
Level of English: Upper-intermediate (at least)

Will be a plus:

Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop or Citrix CVAD exposure
Experience with automation via Intune/SCCM
Relevant certifications (MCSA/MCSE, AZ-140)

Responsibilities:

Environment Assessment (Collect configuration details for FSLogix, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), storage, and network performance counters)
Upgrade Planning (Produce a phased rollout plan with user-acceptance testing, rollback procedure, downtime estimate, and risk matrix)
Lab Validation (Install FSLogix 25.04 in a staging environment; confirm compatibility with existing policies and line-of-business apps)
Automated Deployment (Execute the upgrade across eight RDS hosts via PowerShell, SCCM, Intune, or equivalent automation while maintaining user uptime)
GPO Optimisation & Cleanup (Review and refine policies (Containers, Search, Teams cache, Java redirection etc.), adding inline documentation for future admins)
Post-Migration Performance Tuning (Monitor logon duration, CPU, memory, and disk IOPS; remediate any residual profile-container or service issues
Knowledge Transfer & Documentation (Deliver updated diagrams, change logs, and a hand-over workshop for the internal IT team)
