Junior Strong QA Engineer

Job Purpose

As a Junior Software QA Engineer at Leobit company, you must be capable of performing Black-box testing of Web and Mobile platforms. You must have a keen eye for detail, critical thinking, and high organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate high result orientation and responsibility for one’s own work.

Requirements:

  • One year of working experience in testing web/mobile applications (at least)
  • Familiarity with Agile frameworks (Scrum)
  • Understanding the purpose of Software Quality
  • Understanding QA’s role in cross-functional Agile teams
  • Knowledge of Fundamental Test Process Phases
  • Knowledge of Testing Types and Techniques (understanding Embedded testing will be a plus)
  • Knowledge of Test Documentation types/purpose
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS.
  • Understanding of web page DOM and modern Javascript frameworks rendering models: Shadow DOM and Virtual DOM.
  • Understanding how web crawlers traverse web-sites.
  • Technical skills in test scenario preparation and test execution
  • Technical skills in documenting and troubleshooting defects
  • Familiarity with test case/ project management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr, Azure DevOps)
  • Strong self-organization skills
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math)
  • Level of English: Upper-intermediate or higher

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and validate requirements (specifications, acceptance criteria, etc.).
  • Create Test Documentation (test design, test scenarios, test cases, GUI checklists, etc.).
  • Prepare Test Data.
  • Perform Functional / non-functional testing of product increments (Web/Desktop/Mobile).
  • Update baseline documentation following requirements changes.
  • Create bug reports and document deviations from the expected results with screenshots and videos.
  • Provide regular Test Status updates to stakeholders.
  • Work with Project and Test Management Tools
